2022 Schedule & Invitation Letter

The 2022 schedule for USPSA, Steel Challenge, and Two-Gun matches has been updated.

The 2022 Invitation Letter for our Canadian competitors has also been updated.  You can open it and print for your boarder crossing from this link:  http://ipsc66.org/2022-wcrh-ltrhd-foreign-invite-2022/

Wick Road is STILL under construction and is the road you need to get to the club! So you are limited to using it from Cogswell headed towards Wayne Rd. Take I-275 to Ecorse (EAST), you will go all the way to Cogswell and turn Right (South) and head to Wick where you will turn Left (It says one way but you can go that way to access the club). To leave you will need to turn Right on Wick which will take you Cogswell. From there you can turn Right on Cogswell and Left on Ecorse and head to I-275, or turn Left on Cogswell and meander around a few roads to get to I-94 (Use your mapping software!)

We hope that everyone has a fun and safe shooting season!

November Steel Challenge

The work on the pistol bays has been completed!

November 10th we will host an am-only Steel Challenge match.

Registration for November’s Steel Challenge will open at 7pm Monday November 5th. We have 5 stages, so 5 squads of 10 in the MORNING ONLY, NO AFTERNOON SHOOT this month.  One firearm only. If we don’t fill up you can request to shoot a second firearm at registration for another $10 fee but it must be in a different division.

Registration fee is $10 per entry.
Range check in begins at 8:30am and shooters meeting at 9:45am. We will be shooting by 10:00 a.m.
This may be the last steel match of the year; unless the weather is really nice in December.
These matches are quick.  We should be able to run all 5 stages in 2.5 hours. To help keep things flowing, please have enough magazines or loading devices to complete the 4 or 5 runs your stage requires.
As always we are registering on Practiscore. Look for the “clubs” button, then search for IPSC66 or WCRHC to find us. You should see all listed future matches and when they open for registration.

October’s USPSA match is cancelled

Due to delays caused by weather, the company contracted to perform the berm improvements at WCRH is behind schedule.  Therefore, this month’s USPSA match at WCRH has been cancelled.

We will keep everyone updated on a November Steele Challenge match and the annual USPSA Chili Cookoff tentatively scheduled for November 25th.

Planning Update – Nov 2017

A big thank you to everyone that came out and supported the USPSA/IPSC group at Wayne County Raccoon Hunters this summer.  The new bays provided space that had not previously been available, making stages even more challenging.

There is one last regular-season match planned for 2017, our traditional Chili Cook Off.  Weather permitting, we will host up to 60 competitors for a 6 stage, 160 round USPSA match.  Squadding is online now at Practiscore.  Bring a pot of your best chili to the match and receive a discount on registration as well as a chance to win cash prizes.  After match tear down, competitors will assemble in the club house to enjoy what has traditionally been some excellent chili.  Everyone will have an opportunity to sample the various chilis and vote for their favorite.

A big thank you goes out to our newest match sponsor, T-Rex Arms of Belleville for allowing IPSC66 members the opportunity to get some winter trigger time in at their indoor range.  We really appreciate your warm hospitality.

The planning crew is already in full swing with some special matches in 2018!

Berm Racer 2

A USPSA Level I match that will be held June 22-24, 2018. Each competitor will shoot 12 stages plus chrono on either Saturday or Sunday.  This is a full day of shooting that will require at least 300 rounds.  (no half day options)

Some of the things people liked at our last Berm Racer Match will be continued such as: random-draw prizes including 50 pistols, division winner plaques, catered lunch, dedicated ROs, and random squadded sponsored shooters.  As only 250 competitors can register for the match, each shooter will have a 1/5 chance of winning a pistol for simply showing up.  Additional pistols will also be raffled off – this is a fund raiser after all.

Payment of $200 is required to guarantee a slot so click here to download the registration form and mail your payment to Roy.  Slots have already begun to fill so register yours here and send your payment in soon to squad with your friends.

2 Gun Match

The 5th Sunday 2-Gun match went over well in 2017 and will be continued in 2018.  IPSC66 will host three 2-Gun matches:  April 29, July 29, and September 30.  The same rules and scoring will apply.  2-Gun matches are limited to 60 people so be sure you’re receiving registration emails from Practiscore and following us on Facebook.

We hope that everyone has enjoyed the 2017 shooting season as much as we have and we look forward to seeing you at our practice sessions and matches in 2018.  Happy holidays!
