2022 Schedule & Invitation Letter

The 2022 schedule for USPSA, Steel Challenge, and Two-Gun matches has been updated.

The 2022 Invitation Letter for our Canadian competitors has also been updated.  You can open it and print for your boarder crossing from this link:  http://ipsc66.org/2022-wcrh-ltrhd-foreign-invite-2022/

Wick Road is STILL under construction and is the road you need to get to the club! So you are limited to using it from Cogswell headed towards Wayne Rd. Take I-275 to Ecorse (EAST), you will go all the way to Cogswell and turn Right (South) and head to Wick where you will turn Left (It says one way but you can go that way to access the club). To leave you will need to turn Right on Wick which will take you Cogswell. From there you can turn Right on Cogswell and Left on Ecorse and head to I-275, or turn Left on Cogswell and meander around a few roads to get to I-94 (Use your mapping software!)

We hope that everyone has a fun and safe shooting season!

November Steel Challenge

The work on the pistol bays has been completed!

November 10th we will host an am-only Steel Challenge match.

Registration for November’s Steel Challenge will open at 7pm Monday November 5th. We have 5 stages, so 5 squads of 10 in the MORNING ONLY, NO AFTERNOON SHOOT this month.  One firearm only. If we don’t fill up you can request to shoot a second firearm at registration for another $10 fee but it must be in a different division.

Registration fee is $10 per entry.
Range check in begins at 8:30am and shooters meeting at 9:45am. We will be shooting by 10:00 a.m.
This may be the last steel match of the year; unless the weather is really nice in December.
These matches are quick.  We should be able to run all 5 stages in 2.5 hours. To help keep things flowing, please have enough magazines or loading devices to complete the 4 or 5 runs your stage requires.
As always we are registering on Practiscore. Look for the “clubs” button, then search for IPSC66 or WCRHC to find us. You should see all listed future matches and when they open for registration.

October’s USPSA match is cancelled

Due to delays caused by weather, the company contracted to perform the berm improvements at WCRH is behind schedule.  Therefore, this month’s USPSA match at WCRH has been cancelled.

We will keep everyone updated on a November Steele Challenge match and the annual USPSA Chili Cookoff tentatively scheduled for November 25th.

September Update

Congratulations to today’s division winners:
Russell M – Production;
James W – Limited;
Justin N – Carry Optics;
Brian P – Single Stack;
John D – PCC;
Harry D – Open; and
Dan O – Limited 10.

Full match results can be viewed on USPSA

Remember that there is no 2-Gun Match next Sunday.  Instead, the WCRH’s members will be prepping the bays for renovation.  We will keep you informed of any work delays that may affect October’s Steel Challenge match.  The work should be done in time as not to affect next month’s USPSA match.  Use the box & link on the left to subscribe to email notifications, follow us on Facebook, and/or check the Brian Enos Forums for the most up-to-date IPSCC66 announcements.

If you won a gun at this year’s berm fund racer and haven’t made arrangements to pick it up, do so soon!

USPSA is a volunteer sport and, like most of the Michigan clubs, Wayne County Raccoon Hunters is a not-for-profit organization.  None of the match staff are paid and the money raised in match fees goes to USPSA fees and match supplies with the remainder used to support the club’s well being.  E.g. Today, you may have noticed the new parking area as well as some appreciated repairs to the driveway.  Being said, if you sign up for a match and can’t make it, please send Geoff an email at the stats gmail address or call Roy so they can add people from the wait list.  Last year’s largest complaint from competitors was the long waits believed to be caused by large squads.  To alleviate competitor’s waiting pains, the match committee limited the number of entries to this year’s matches.  Be courteous to the people on the wait list & our stats team and let us know if you can’t make it.

2-Gun and Steel Challenge RO Class

For those that participate in 2-Gun or Steel Challenge – we are hosting a special NROI-approved class on October 7th to become a 2-Gun and Steel Challenge Range Officers.  You must already be a certified USPSA RO to register.  The class is all day and lunch will be provided.  For more information see our FaceBook Event Page or contact Roy Neal.  Sign up ASAP if you plan to attend.

We look forward to having you at future WCRH USPSA/IPSC events.
