April 2013 Match
We’re less that one week away from the start of the 2013 USPSA/IPSC shooting season at the Wayne County Raccoon Hunters club. The first match will be on April 28. The round count is 161 if you don’t miss any of the mini poppers or plates. Registration starts at 0830 and will end at 0930. If you plan to squad with a group of friends it is best to arrive early and register/squad together. As the number of participants grows, it is important for flow to balance squad sizes. This means that not everyone will get to squad together. First shot is at 1000. Non-member match fee is the same as 2012 at $25 (USD). A little bird has informed us that a larger group of shooters from the great white north and some buckeyes will be joining us. Apparently the Canadians don’t mind compiling the paperwork needed to cross the boarder with guns to shoot level I matches in the U.S.
Brian will be updating the PractiScore database during registration. Please ensure that he has your name, USPSA number, division, power factor, and class entered correctly. It is a lot better to get it into the system at the start than to go back and fix errors later. You do not need to be a member of USPSA to shoot a level I match. You do need to be a member for your classifier scores to be uploaded and count for classification.
New Stuff
Release of Liability Waiver
It will be necessary for all non members to sign a waiver for release of liability. This will certainly add to the registration time so please be sure to arrive early and be patient.
Food Service
From 1100 – 1300 food will be served in the area adjacent to the registration trailer. For $5 you can get a hotdog, bag of chips, and choice of soda or water. The profits from food sales will be donated to The Tears Foundation in order to assist families suffering the death of a child.
